Vandoren Traditional Tenor Sax Reeds

Vandoren Traditional reeds are characterized by a very thin tip (the part of the reed that vibrates against the lip), which is, however, supported and balanced by a very robust heel (the back part of the reed that is held by the ligature). This combination allows the musician to produce an extremely pure sound. Aesthetically, Traditional reeds are recognizable by the linear cut of the tip, different from other models which, instead, have more rounded edges.

Vandoren Traditional saxophone reeds have a finer tip and a thinner heart, offering precise articulation with a full, dark sound.

The reeds are made from cane, which is particularly sensitive to changes in humidity. Vandoren Traditional reeds are now individually packaged. The so-called Flow Packs guarantee a reed with stable hydration.
