The P-225 model has been improved in appearance and now features a much more compact and modern design, taking up even less space in the room. To achieve such a compact size, a new keyboard has been designed that offers an even better response than its predecessors, in a reduced space, and provides the best feeling of playing a weighted acoustic piano. Yamaha P-series digital pianos are loved by pianists worldwide who want the pleasant feel of an acoustic piano in an instrument with more manageable dimensions and weight.
Compared to its predecessor, the P-225 offers a much shorter and thinner body design with a compact style. This model looks good from any angle you look at it and fits well into any environment. To achieve a smaller product chassis, the new 88-key GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard has been developed, which is built to uncompromising standards and offers the same feel of playing a weighted acoustic piano as the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard used in previous P-Series models.
Some of the things musicians are especially interested in are, the perceived weight of the keys under their fingers compared to a weighted acoustic piano keyboard; whether the keyboard will respond accurately when faster passages are played; whether there are inconsistencies between the force with which the keys are played and the resulting sound; whether the keyboard offers a sufficient dynamic range from low to high. The GHC keyboards used so far in the P series have received praise from customers for their excellent balance and ease of playing mentioned above.
The P-225 offers the sounds of Yamaha's finest concert grand piano, the CFX, and this model uses Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite technology which realistically reproduces the complex tonal changes produced moment by moment by the strings of a grand piano.
By connecting the P-225 with Yamaha's dedicated Smart Pianist digital piano app, you can access all the piano's functions and add new possibilities for the performer.
